This child and his family never really stayed in one place for a long time. Soon after he was born the baby boy and his family traveled on to Taiwan which was the home of his parents and brother who was born 3 and a half years earlier. The family didn't stay in Taiwan for a very long period of time either, which thereafter brought the family to Liberia, West Africa. From there they lived for perhaps 2 years and for some reason that I am not sure they left Libera and ended up in South Africa where the child now 3 yrs old, would stay for the next 9 + yrs of his life. First they had a cafe and then his father worked as a agricultural spreading/teaching who was sent to Malawi by the government of Taiwan to help their agriculture, blah blah blah blah blah...
From East London, South Africa, they moved down to Cape Town where they would then settle for the next 9 yrs. From the beginning, the young child attended grade school at 'Christopher Robin.' Then he moved on to Ellerton Primary/elementary school, where he stayed until he was in the 4th grd. During those years in Ellerton he had a few cousins with him, one that he would eventually meet again, Carol was her name.
His mother and the mother of his friend did not particularly enjoy the education of such a 'public' school that their children was attending, so they decided to take their son to another school which was a private school thus, more expensive, and perhaps in the mother's eyes it was 'better'. Indeed the education provided by such a school was profoundly superior than that of the little boy's prior school. Money certainly wasn't their concern at such a intricate time but the quality of education that their children were recieving was the main cncern of such parents.
He entered the new school with his friend, so this relieved many of the pressures that young children go through when they attend a new school. There in 'St. Georges Grammar school' he stayed for 5 full yrs, and with many friends, as the school was extremely small with less than 500 students in the whole school from k2-k12. So that evens out to be about 20-30 students per grade. Then saw his friend that had accompanied him to the school, leave this school, from the beginning of the 8th grade he never heard of his friend evermore. Except when he needed parking, which is another story yet to be told. He made many many friends and perhaps it was the fact that everyone knew everyone that made 'making' friends such a breeze.
At the beginning of the 9th grade the teenager, no-more a child would leave his school and as everyone was surprised by his sudden decision in leaving, his teachers and fellow students were sad to see a familiar face everyday, gone, forever.
From South Africa, where he now calls home he traveled vast distances to the shores of California, and back to his birthplace. He now stays in Oakland, Ca, USA, with his cousin Carol plus Jason, and Julie. Attending Oakland Technical High School............
of all the many places his traveled to he is able to speak, fluent English, fluent Chinese/mandarin, basic Afrikaans, very basic French and very very basic Xhosa, and is now in the process of taking Spanish.
what the future holds for him is a mystery that no one can unlock until the time arrives.......
Right now i have an 'essay' which i wrote quite a while back and since i'm a lazy person i have yet to change it but since i need something i'll just leave it here to fill up space and if you're bored take a look/read whichever you prefer.
